FileTrail RFID adapts to fit a variety of situations through its configurability, scalability and variety of components.
The SmartOffice™ concept utilizes FileTrail's Passive Tracking technology, automatically updating the locations of files as they move from cubicle-to-cubicle and office-to-office, without the need for staff compliance. The files tell the system where they are. The more coverage - ultimately with at every desktop never lose a File and never search for Files.

SmartTag |
The SmartTag™ can be attached to each File to electronically locate missing Files, manage inventory and log a File's history. In cubicles and offices the tag is automatically read, making tracking as easy as going about your normal workday. |

SmartMobile |
The SmartMobile™ portable reader locates missing Files with the Detector and expedites physical inventory and audits. The FTMobile™ software from FileTrail and color touch-screen makes it intuitive and easy to use. Our clients report completing regular Audits in 15% of the normal time, and finding missing Files in 5% of the normal time. Missing Files are easily found with the Detector. The long 10-foot read range alerts you to the missing File, then directs you to their specific location. |

RFID Reader |
The RFID Reader connects via Ethernet, and can use Power over Ethernet (PoE). The readers connect to SmartSensors that read the RFID tags and communicate item location, date and time to the RFEnterprise middleware. |

SmartSensor |
The FileTrail SmartSensor is a light-weight square pad that can be mounted under a work-surface or placed above a drop-ceiling. The SmartSensor connects to a 4-port or 2-port RFID Reader using light coax, up to 40-foot in length. |

RF-Enterprise is a browser-based application that manages hardware, configuration, and transactions across the solution. It also manages Windows Server services that perform critical monitoring and communications with RFID devices. It is a scalable system with many sophisticated capabilities and features. |
