World Bank Adopts FileTrail RFID Tracking
Monday, June 13, 2005
FileTrail, Inc., announced today the migration of World Bank to FileTrail's RFID Tracking solution.
The bank was previously using the Windows-based Opus32 system to automate check-in and check-out of Loan files from a departmental file room. The system managed about 28,000 files. The bank was motivated to look for a new solution to improve access and reduce costs. In addition, the portable scanners had become outdated technology and were no longer supported by the manufacturer.
The department uses their FileTrail solution as a office-wide application. All staff have access to locate and request files without leaving their desks. FileTrail continues to automate the color coding and file room management as has been done by the legacy system. In addition, FTMobile – FileTrail's portable records management solution – scans bar codes and reads the RFID tags to help staff track files on-the-move and conduct audits.
